Job Description

• Work Location: Hyderabad
• Position: SystemsEngineer, Client Solutions Centre
  TheInformation Technology Services department of Deloitte is seeking a SystemsEngineer for our CSC (Client Solutions Centre) with a solid knowledge ofSystems Administration and a good understanding of a multi-tieredinfrastructure. The incumbent will report to the Operations Manager of ClientSolutions Centre.
  
  
  Theincumbent will focus on daily operational activities such as ticket handling,issue troubleshooting, environment monitoring, and report analysis. Theincumbent will also participate in implementations, upgrades, and theday-to-day operations of solutions for a variety of deployment scenariosincluding demo; sandbox; development and client facing production environments.
  
  
  Ongoingduties include the following:
  • Provide “Canadian after hour” support for CSC team.
  • Troubleshooting daily issues and handle and follow through tickets assigned to CSC team especially during afterhours.
  • Review daily system generated reports and take necessary actions.
  • Work with Deloitte practitioners (the client) in issue resolutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure efficient planning, execution and supportability.
  • Provide on-going management, monitoring and troubleshooting of CSC Systems.
  • Follow operational policies and processes that are compliant with ITIL standards.
  • Participate in change control activities.
  • Conduct scheduled system maintenance activities.
  • 3+ years of System Administration experience with Windows 2003/2008/2012 and Linux Server environments.
• Good understanding of System and Network design principles.
• Networking knowledge, understanding of firewall rule based and change process. Understanding of IPsec VPN connectivity setup.
• Experience with DMZ application architecture (Ports, IPSEC, Firewall rules etc.).
• Understanding of Active Directory, Security and Networking principles.
• Good working knowledge of VMWare ESX / vSphere 4, VMware View infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Citrix infrastructure and publishing applications through Citrix.
• Familiarity with MS-SQL Server 2005/2008/2012.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Systems Management Tools (i.e. HP Insight Manager, SCOM, SCCM, Solarwin).
• Working experience in a hosting service provider environment is an asset.
• Completed bachelor’s degree program, preferably in computer science, engineering or a related discipline.
• MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) designation is an asset.
• ITIL v3 and other industry certifications.
• Proven analytical, resourceful problem solving skills.
• A willingness to be a team player and demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm.
• Good communication, client service and organizational skills.
• Good technical documentation skills.
• Professional attitude.
